GLEE ON CRACK
There are no rehearsals, fancy sets, or second takes at the second annual New York Musical Improv Festival. Instead, the two-day fest brings local acting troupes from Upright Citizens Brigade and Peoples Improv Theater, along with some from Chicago, Las Vegas, and D.C., to create musicals entirely from scratch on the spot. While one group (Reset List) re-creates a rock concert before your eyes, and another (North Coast) specializes in the genre of "hip-hopera," it is the audience suggestions that determine the direction of the entire show. You best start thinking of good things to shout out!
