GOD BLESS SAFE SEX
December 1 has been World AIDS Day for 20 years now, and the gravity of the disease is no lighter than it was in 1988. To commemorate the day and remember victims lost to AIDS, the Gay Men's Health Crisis is organizing Out of the Darkness, an event that will feature a candlelight vigil outside their offices and be followed by a march from 24th Street to Washington Square for a ceremony at Judson Memorial Church. Attendees will experience music, dance, speakers, and youth performances, as well as an interfaith blessing of safer-sex kits, because God alone is no substitute for protection. March begins at 6, GMHC; gathering at 7, Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South
Mon., Dec. 1, 6 p.m., 2008
