In 2003, Robin Thicke’s self-titled debut gave the singer/songwriter/producer his first crack at the Billboard 200 and Lil Wayne the raw materials for “Shooter,” a song to which the New Orleans rapper added three of the best verses of his career and re-released as the third single from his Carter II. Six years and three albums later, Thicke has returned to Wayne for “Pretty Lil Heart,” the lead single from Love After War, the album whose release the R&B heartthrob will be celebrating today at J&R. Take a long lunch break and enjoy a performance much more intimate than Friday’s follow-up at the Highline Ballroom.
