The Argentine-born composer, pianist, vocalist, and bandleader's new album, Domador de Huellas (Footprints Tamer), is devoted to work by the late Argentine composer and lawyer Gustavo "Cuchi" Leguizamon. Now based in Barcelona, Klein translates Leguizamon's zambas, characeras, and vidalas into drifting, internally robust arrangements full of languid beauty and sudden subtle eruptions of melodic intensity. Klein's octet includes saxophonist Miguel Zenon and singer Liliana Herrero.
