New York City may be a breeding ground for cross-dressed entertainment, but how many drag queens can actually claim authentic city roots? Miss Coco Peru, a local who has became one of the most recognizable painted faces on cable, hails from the Bronx's City Island. Though she may be a Bravo/Logo regular, her New York cabaret shows are the stuff of legend. Her latest, Miss Coco Peru Is Undaunted!, brings the B-lister's material right to her home turf; she'll share stories about growing up way uptown, and anecdotes from the world of (relative) celebrity.
Fridays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: Nov. 6. Continues through Nov. 15, 2009
