I MISSED YOU
I, brunette and malnutritioned, was eyeing the barbecue pizza at the Whole Foods on Bowery. You, hot with light-brown hair and a beard, got a slice of my desired pie. Too shy to say hi! We've all been there, going about our routines, and then—bam!—eye candy that leaves us dead in our tracks. So where do we go from here? Tonight, at Missed Connections NYC, watch short plays inspired by Craigslist's Missed Connections page, where you can write about the one who got away and dream that person will randomly read it and contact you. Playwrights include Bekah Brunstetter, Amy Herzog, and Matthew Lopez. Laugh at the hopelessly romantic and often-perverted online entries, and—who knows?—maybe one will sound familiar to you.
Wednesdays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: Jan. 27. Continues through Jan. 31, 2010
