IT MIGHT GET LOUD
Last month, Ridgewood's Silent Barn, a hub for New York's Showpaper DIY scene, was broken into and badly vandalized; tonight, a few mainstays of that scene come together at the Brooklyn Fire Proof for a Silent Barn Benefit to help raise some of the money needed to re-open the fallen venue. But if you come for the cause, you might end up staying for the music, as the Genuine Imitations (a group who saw their own Bronx punk house closed only a few months back) lead a lineup of bands that aren't afraid to have a good time onstage.
