You might say there are two cabaret camps nowadays: one populated by performers looking forward, the other peopled by entertainers devoted to tradition. Here's a member of the latter camp. Never campy and usually soprano-sweet, in "You Made Me Love You: Celebrating 100 Years of the American Songbook," Sheehan rifles through the pages of Irving Berlin and his contemporaries. She does include this century's Adam Guettel.
