Joel Harrison Ensemble
With compositional instincts as expansive and experimental as his guitar playing, Harrison offers "Infinite Possibility," a six-part work for 19 musicians that rambles through the blues, the Ligeti legacy, Appalachia, and late-'60s Miles. The promising ensemble includes Ned Rothenberg (saxophone), Curtis Fowlkes (trombone), Kermit Driscoll (bass), and Ohad Talmor (saxophone), whose Newsreel performs at 10.
