This is likely the second cheapest concert that classical violinist Joshua Bell has played in the last five years (the absolute cheapest being the time Bell posed as a street performer in the Washington D.C. subway. . . for free.) Not that it won't come with a price: Today's performance of music by French Romantic-20th Century composer Gabriel Fauré is geared toward young'uns, so expect everything that comes part and parcel with family performances. At the same time, the family setting will put a refreshing spin on classical music, sidestepping all the senseless cursing, misogyny, and braggadocio that holds it back on the charts.
