Dir. James Frawley (1973). Dennis Hopper plays an aging outlaw who attempts to go straight in this amiable comic western characterized by its meandering jugband sensibility and plethora of countercultural clichés. Most impressive is the movies honest hatred of work. No cowboy ever met a more inglorious endpunching a time clock instead of a steer.
