Montreal musician Little Scream writes cheery, hippie-dippie folk in the vein of tUnE-yArDs but retains her own idiosyncratic edge. This year, aided by members of The Arcade Fire, Silver Mount Zion and Stars, she released The Golden Record, a charming debut that revels in experimentation. Unafraid to torque her voice into a folksy yodel, or try her hand at an arena rock chorus, Little Scream entrances all into her weirdly wonderful world. Tonight at Piano’s she’ll be joined by Kyp Malone’s Rain Machine and unflinching UK sister act 2:54.
