“Future-n-B,” London duo AlunaGeorge have been called, which is as succinct a way as any to describe how Aluna Francis’s wry-voiced soubrette (think Mya with a little more craw) inhabits producer George Reid’s glitchy-yet-pristine soundscapes, like Timbaland commissioned to soundtrack Tomorrowland. The group’s mix of futuresound and turn-of-the-century retromania have won them buzz for slinky singles like “Attracting Flies” and “You Know You Like It” and plaudits from tastemakers for their debut album Body Music, which collects the duo’s already substantial array of cult hits. Tonight, they play the Bowery Ballroom with equally glitched-out opener Supreme Cuts.
