In February, Alexander Wang hosted a Fashion Week show in Brooklyn, and it caused a big uproar with insiders who still see Manhattan as the event’s official host. But — who knows? — everyone’s favorite outer borough might just soon become the new fashion capital: Fashion Week Brooklyn, a biannual international collection show that launched in 2006, seems to
be picking up steam and now features international designers and brands as well as local ones. The four-day event includes shows by Iliana Quander (New York), Marita Huurinainen (Finland), and Lina Teixeria (Florida).
