MAKE A SCENE
Over the past eight years, Improv Everywhere, which sponsors spontaneous acts of comedy in public places, has hosted an art gallery opening in the subway, greeted random strangers at the airport with "Welcome home!" signs and balloons, and convinced hundreds of people to commute to work in their underwear (in the dead of winter). Tonight, meet Improv Everywhere's mastermind, Charlie Todd, and comedian Alex Scordelis for the launch party of their new book Causing a Scene (Extraordinary Pranks in Ordinary Places With Improv Everywhere). At this rare live show at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Todd will give us a behind-the-scenes look at some of Improv Everywhere's most popular pranks with screenings of videos you can't find on YouTube—there will be special guests as well.
