This fledgling decade's hottest new metal band certainly deserved their big breakthrough and all, but it's unfortunate that it had to come about with the massively overrated Crack The Skye, which still sounds like a result of their worst writing to date meeting up with top-shelf production. Even without the usual macro-level conceptual bloat, their new album The Hunter feels like a vengeful return to form, filled with tight bundles of graceful violence that can usually even keep up with 2004's superb Leviathan.
