It's been four long years waiting for the successor to their excellent breakout LP, The Trials of Van Occupanther, an epic album in classic rock revivalism that cribbed heavily from Fleetwood Mac's golden Stevie years. The new The Courage of Others brings the band back towards their folk-rock home base (think Steeleye Span) but is still packed with those gorgeous, velvety male vocals and breezy, multi-layered, multi-instrumental tunes. Good stuff! With John Grant.
