At roughly $1.43 a band, this hodgepodge of hardcore bands should carry appeal to boot stompers and penny pinchers alike. Headlined by Astoria, Queens's beer-tippling, bong-toking, back-talking punk-rock heroes Murphys Law (the apostrophe is apparently optional), the show was organized as a "legal defense fund benefit for [frontman] Jimmy Gestapo," not that there's any readily available explanation as to why he needs the help. Nonetheless, this is also the last-ever show in New York by long-running Dutch "pogo-punks" Antidote, which is worth at least a buck and change. With Stigma, Nihilistics, the Mugs, Seizure Crypt and Die Only.
