Dir. Leo Hurwitz & Paul Strand (1942) The Pop Front equivalent of Gone With the Wind is a heartfelt, heavy-handed docu-dramatic exposé of union busting and native fascism written by Ben Maddow, photographed by Leo Hurwitz, photographed by Paul Strand, and populated by several representatives of the Group Theater. Musical interludes are supplied by Marc Blitzstein and the Almanac Singers; Paul Robeson narrated with maximum Wethe People gravitas.
