The silver-tongued McKay reprises her role from the 2012 indie film Downtown Express alongside Grammy-nominated classical violinist Philippe Quint and composer Michael Bacon, who plays a mean ukulele while his brother is off catching serial killers on "The Following." A fish out of water romance about two lovers from radically different genres who meet cute in the middle and perform at a venue not unlike Joe's Pub, this soundtrack release party should feel like Once in the Village, with a Slavic edge. The event caps off the Roc-elle Music Fest, celebrating the independent Brooklyn-based label.
