It's the sound coming out a clock radio with really cool clothes, or maybe the danceable afterimage of a middle school dance party. You were there or you weren't; it doesn't matter for Nite Jewel's silken, turquoise-lit songs, which filter Ramona Gonzalez's own take on feather light disco through production that suggests a feel as much as an era. That feel gets stronger on her current seven inch for Secretly Canadian, suggesting that her upcoming sophomore full-length might make more folks wake up to Nite Jewel's own steadily growing party.
