Just back from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, kooky comedy duo Kurt and Kristen (as in Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal) give a special encore performance of the 45-minute show that one critic from The Guardian could only criticize for being too short. Jam-packed with laughs, the sketch-comedy show includes a play titled Double Down Hearts, about a love affair between a compulsive gambler and a man with a harelip, a clip from their Internet-TV show Penelope: Princess of Pets, and a phone-sex scene between John Smith and Pocahontas (Thats hot. Thats burn-down-all-your-crops hot, he breathlessly tells her). Theres even a chance for one lucky member of the audience to take cutie-pie Schaal out on a date to a fancy restaurant (the only catch: Youll have to put up with Braunohler as your waiter in front of a live audience).
Fri., Sept. 5, 8:30 & 10:45 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 6, 8:30 & 10:45 p.m., 2008
