Brooklyn's favorite brahs, Oneida, laid low for a minute after their triumphant, 11-hour superjam at All Tomorrow's Parties. This year has seen a flurry of activity, including a late night drone-out at the Market Hotel in January and another three-set party at their Ocropolis space in Williamsburg in February. They're also releasing City of Straw, the seventh brilliant album by the uncompromising noise trio Sightings, on their Brah Records imprint. Sightings' claustrophobic scuzz seems repellant until one listens through to the elegant structures beneath it, buffeting the true dimensions of the band's particular rabbit hole.
