OUT OF SERVICE
“Florent’s cheeseburgers are hands-down responsible for my spare tire, and I’m thankful for that . . . so is the society of chubby chasers!” says Murray Hill, one of the comedians performing at Those Were the Days: Au Revoir, Restaurant Florent. Hill will be joined by the Lady Bunny, Flotilla DeBarge, Carol Lipnik, and others to honor the Frenchman who opened his namesake 24-hour diner in the meatpacking district 23 years ago—and will see it close its doors for good on June 29. The comedy show, also a birthday tribute to Mr. Morellet, promises to deliver laughs “sans nostalgia”— but with Hill’s jokes, expect extra cheese.
