PAPER OR PLASTIC?
While we cant think of too many uses for all the plastic shopping bags we collect, Kayle + Company has come up with one of the best ideas weve ever heard: a dance performance titled Heel in which 1,000 plastic bags float and flutter through the air to create a post-industrial world for the dancers, dressed in colorful costumes, to play in. Tonights show, created by choreographer Jennifer Kayle and collaborators from across the Midwest, features four premieres, including Heel, with dancers from five local companies performing on movable sets to live music by the piano/violin duo Winston Choi and Maehung Xu.
