Penny Royale is how Kyle Kessler dubs herself while imploring her electronics to imitate slabs of granite grinding together, nails being hammered through aluminum, or the sickly whinge of a put-upon trampoline. The catch is that her music can, at times, wander into some euphoric head shops; sets frequently involve mild theatrics and tinted or blinding lights. On this bill, Kessler's cerebral machinations share a stage with Cum Blood's impressionistic manias and Doris Gang's no-fi, muffled punk. This could get interesting.
