'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park: the Art of the Satiric Comedy Song'
Sheldon Harnick, who knows plenty about the subject, is the spokesperson for this undersung (in two senses of the word) tunesmithing category. The best-selling Tom Lehrer will be discussed as well as Noel Coward and Randy Newman. No doubt someone will intone Harnick's own dazzler, "The Shape of Things." The caustic warblers are Judy Blazer, Jeff McCarthy, Chuck Cooper, and Debra Monk, and they're no slouches.
Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.; Mondays, 2 p.m. Starts: May 8. Continues through May 10, 2010
