"Future pop" duo Purity Ring bring a Southern hip-hop backbone to their otherwise ethereal instrumentals. Although they’ve only been active for about a year, they’ve already made quite a stir thanks to Megan James’s chilling vocals and Corin Roddick’s juxtaposing electro-symphonies that take synth-pop to a place far beyond the simple beat and hook.
