Like Mother Nature herself, Bea Arthur's presence will be felt long after her death earlier this year. In honor of her awesomeness, the 18th annual Dixon Place HOT! Festival is presenting God'll Getcha for That: A Bea Arthur Tribute. The animal-rights activist and beloved gay icon—mostly remembered as the matriarch on The Golden Girls and as independent-minded Maude—also had a slew of stage credits to her name, including The Threepenny Opera and Fiddler on the Roof. Expect the tribute, hosted by our very own Sharyn Jackson, to have more than a few impromptu sing-alongs. The party will include screenings of Arthurs popular sitcoms and tunes from her Broadway musicals. Linen pants, cowl necks, and low boots (and, as Michael Musto points out, caftans!) are completely optional.
