Back in 1998, the Trevor Project launched the first ever crisis and suicide prevention hotline designed for LGBTQ youth, providing the entire nation with an invaluable resource. In the time since, they’ve been responsible for a host of other good doings, including some pretty great parties (Neil Patrick Harris is an honorary co-chair!) so we’re really excited that the first-ever Trevor Project Block Party is launching in Gowanus today. Some of Brooklyn’s top queer DJs provide the jams while the Switch & Play troupe performs their signature drag theater. Proceeds support the project’s continued efforts so enter the raffle for a signature suit by Bindle & Keep, which tailors fine garments for all body types, or $250 worth of gender neutral make-up by Enter Pronoun. Tickets that include an open bar make this one of the best weekend deals in the city.
