Looking for a new high? Let the professionals of multidisciplinary design firm Harrison Atelier (HAt) help you out with their latest performance Pharmacophore: Architectural Placebo, a new dance by choreographer-performer Silas Riener (a member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company) and an evocative set designed by Ariane Lourie Harrison. The work is the third part of HAt’s Pharmacophore series of design-dance hybrids that explore our society’s pill-popping habits and our understanding of the placebo effect. The interactive work features inflatable set pieces for the audience to use as cushions and contoured seats that are reminiscent of medical apparatus, so you can feel a part of HAt’s sure-to-be addictive cocktail.
Sat., Dec. 3, 7:30 & 8:30 p.m., 2011
