RAP TO THE FUTURE
Unabashed 88 rap obsessives The Cool Kids dropped The Bake Sale on iTunes this month, finally anteing up on a couple years worth of hype. Their ghetto-blaster-, bikes-, shell-toe-sneakers-, 808-drums-, and flattop-fixated EP will be comfort food to those who grew up on rap in the 80s, and utterly unfamiliar to those who did so in the post-Chronic 90s. Never mind, of course, that neither of the two Cool Kids MCs are a day over 23they do a great impression. With HEAVy(BBE), Mickey Factz, and Egg Foo Young.
