READY, SET, PAINT
Foodies, put away the forks. Matt Timms, founder of the popular Chili Takedown and other tasty competitions, is putting on his first non-culinary event. The Brooklyn Painting Takedown will have 20 Brooklyn artists dabbing and smearing for the chance to win cash prizes. While the artists are busy creating, the audience will be eyeing which donated artwork to purchase—so be ready to fight for your favorite painting during the auction at the end. All of the funds from artwork sold will benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels. And, yes, there will be beer and chili to snack on.
