Reid Genauer+Jason Crosby
The Midtown jazz club introduces their new singer/songwriter series with a pair of performers who've long paid their dues as part of the improv-rock scene's roots division. Formerly with Strangefolk and now fronting his own Assembly of Dust, Genauer writes literate, durable tunes that draw heavily on country-rock icons such as the Band and the Grateful Dead. Crosby, a keyboard-focused multi-instrumentalist who has performed with Robert Randolph and Susan Tedeschi, moves easily between jazz and singer/songwriter domains. With Doug Yoel Trio.
