Twelve years after Rent premiered on Broadway, a few members of the original cast are still at it. In 1996, Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp (Roger and Mark) became heroes of cloistered high school nerds everywhere. They reprised their roles as struggling artists in the awkward Rent film, and then returned to the show to close it out on Broadway last September. It seems that their careers still hang on their link to the East Village of the '90srespective roles in Aida and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and attempted solo careers weren't enough to wipe away their relic status. But Rapp and Pascal are just gonna go with it; they are now on tour with the national company of Rent, which visits Newark, NJ February 10 through 15. Gwen Stewart, who originated the role of "Bag Lady"and who was the first to wail her heart out at the end of "Seasons of Love"is also in the cast.
