Richard Bartz+Richard Hinge
One of DJ Hell's pals, Richard Bartz came up in the Munich techno scene, playing the citys darker, accessible '80s-influenced version of minimal. He runs Kurbel but has also found a place on all the big Deutsche labels: Kanzleramt, Cocoon, even mighty Kompakt. Bartz shares an aesthetic with fellow Disko B associate Richard Hinge, a Jersey native whose techno releases on Tresor, Hidden Agenda, and his own Conrail borrow from Skinny Puppy and Ministry. With Peter Munch, Koji Kumai (a/k/a Kumabear), Bruce Tantum, Gil K, Ulrich Hagen and Seanna Sharpe.
