RUCKUS ON WHEELS
Dust off your velocipede and dry-clean your superhero costume for the first annual NYC Big Wheel Race. Already in its eighth year in San Francisco, the race is coming to Central Park courtesy of Newmindspace, the urban-arts collective renowned for putting on many a memorable urban extravaganza, including bubble battles and pillow fights, in the name of reclaiming public space. Participants will need a wheeled contraption (anything with a seat at least 12 inches off the ground is fair game), a helmet, and a death wish for the dash down the park's Great Hill. If you'd rather sit this one out, come to cheer or offer informal medical care to victims of the mangled wreckage sure to ensue.
