Sandy Stewart & Bill Charlap
The best pop-jazz bargain of the week. The mother-son team have few peers at this sort of thingokay, they have no peers, absolutely none. She sings with such purity that you want to grab hold of something, and he plays with such sensitivity that you forget to breathe. They'll stick to 20th-century standards exclusively, but no one in his or her right mind will complain.
