suddenly wiped out, what traditions from the past would survivors hold on
to? Playwright Anne Washburn explores this scenario in Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play, which imagines that, of all things, Bart Simpson would become a vital part of the new society’s mythology. Steve Cosson directs the Playwrights Horizons production, with music by Michael Friedman.
