Fueled by space-rock and clangy musique concrete, Oslo, Norway's Serena Maneesh have only gotten more "out" in the five or so years since releasing their self-titled debut. That album was so dense and textured, it was sometimes overwhelming live. The follow-up, S-M 2: Abyss in B Minor, which comes out in March, was recorded in a cave with an associate of krautrock superstars, so you can imagine the depth of sound. The record came out even more chaotic than its predecessor, so it will be an interesting hearing them adapt backwards guitars, crashing found sounds and, of course, multiple haunting vocals. With the Vandelles.
