Shawn O'Sullivan+Entro Senestre
For the album art of Shawn O' Sullivan's new release on local vinyl-only label the Corner, two bloodied men lay among heaps of trash, ostensibly leveled by the volcanic techno contained therein. Inside the sleeve, the record showcases a brittle, tonally murky aesthetic, with globular and expansive synthesizer drones that establish O'Sullivan as a rising talent in an increasingly saturated techno scene. This night brings together artists from WT Records, the label founded by Willie Burns, he who works at record obsessive mecca the Thing, has releases on the omnipresent and analog-obsessed L.I.E.S.
