Six Finger Satellite
Six Finger Satellite was, quite possibly, the noisiest band to get regular play on MTVif you count the odd 1 a.m. appearance of their creepy "Parlour Games" video on 120 Minutes as "regular." A mix of cheese-grater guitars, detached vocals, and unhinged synths, their five-album reign on Sub Pop in the mid-'90s anticipated both dance-punk and no wave (think the Locust, A.R.E. Weapons, Liars, etc.) that dominated the underground in the '00s. With Pterodactyl and POP1280.
