(Erik Richter Strand, 2008). This second entry in the series of popular Varg Veum private eye yarns finds Strand ably taking over in the director's chair. In this one, Veum (terrific Trond Espen Seim) goes to Copenhagen to rescue a runaway teenage girl from a life of prostitution and bring her back to her wealthy parents in Bergen. When he does so, he gets involved in a hornet's nest of family secrets involving murder, incest, clandestine gay love affairs, insider trading, fiendish drug lordsyou name it. It's great nasty funand the town of Bergen is terribly photogenic.
