Fortissimo Records’ field-disrupting
Yo Eskerrik Asko NYC! Godfatherly multi-guitar magus Glenn Branca headlines the first night of this weekend experi-fest, curated by label owners Action Beat. The improvisational U.K. noise rockers are joined tonight by rad Boston samplers-inventors Neptune; screamy, sinewy locals White Suns; and singer Christina Carter, who reappears tomorrow alongside ex-husband, Tom, as part of the ravishing skeletal folk duo Charalambides. Saturday’s other performers include Tim Hecker, who submitted a Reykjavik church organ to an electronic reconstruction on Ravedeath, 1972, and Daniel Lopatin’s Oneohtrix Point Never, which autopsied audio corpses of forgotten television commercials on last year’s Replica.
