There’s no denying that the intro to Saturday Night Fever, featuring John Travolta with a can of paint in one hand strutting down the streets of Brooklyn to the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” was a major moment for both cinema and music. Saturday Night Fever, along with Pulp Fiction, will be the topic this afternoon with Dana Rossi, host and creator of The Soundtrack Series, a live show and podcast where performers and writers tell personal stories that they forever associate with a particular song. Both films are screened today, followed by the live podcast recording.
Sat., Feb. 8, 2 p.m., 2014
