SUN & SUDS
Summertime blues, be gone! Your cure is the Brooklyn Waterfront Beer Festival, a day of kicking back with live music, spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline, and more ice-cold craft beer than one person can drink (yes, that’s a dare). Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Hooker’s Watermelon Ale, and Erie Brewing Company’s Derailed Black Cherry Ale are just a few of the seasonal summer beers on tap from more than 90 craft brewers. Soak up the alcohol with Australian meat pies from Sheep Station or homemade ice cream sandwiches from Coolhaus. Think you can make your own pale ale? Seminars “Urban Home Brewing 101” and “Women in Craft” will provide tips on how to turn your kitchen into a mini brewery. Session I from 1:30 to 4, Session II from 7 to 9:30 (get in an hour early with a VIP ticket), $65 for general admission, $85 for VIP, $135 for the connoisseur package
