'Sunday Best with Omar S'
Omar S has the independent attitude evinced by low-key Detroit stars such as Underground Resistance's Mike Banks, plus a whole lot of youthful bravado, and his transcendent FXHE singles live up to bluster. The self-proclaimed grandson of Detroit techno is already responsible for at least one modern classic: Last year's "Psychotic Photosynthesis," a restrained synth dream, distilled house music down to its complex soul. Whether he showcases his own music today (as he did on his impressively self-centered Fabric mix) or ranges wider, this just might be the set of the summer. With Eamon Harkin, Justin Carter and Doug Singer.
