Listening to writer Judy Blume read from Are You There God? Its Me, Margaret at Barnes & Noble might not be the first thing on your Friday-night list. But listening to a slew of hot naked women read Blumes book at a dimly lit bar? Now, thats another story. Naked Girls Reading, a nude literary salon that started in Chicago and debuted in New York last year courtesy of Pinchbottom Burlesque, will lounge on plush couches and read the very best in classic tween lit, from Blume to Carolyn Keene to R.L. Stine, as well as our most current coming-of-age fiction like Twilight and Harry Potter. As a member in good standing of The Baby-sitters Club since 1987, says Naked Girls reader Nasty Canasta, I think its high time we paid tribute to the single greatest influence on American youth outside of television, text messaging, and the Internet.
