The Black Eyed Peas
Whatever your position on the Black Eyed Peas' steroidal post-sellout oeuvre, there's no denying that this Michael Jackson revering quartet puts on a stage show that does The Gloved One proud. With that indivisible conquering-hero hauteur, those omnipresent LCD lights pulsing in sync with Will.i.am's electro beats, and dancers dressed like escapees from a Grant Morrison nightmare, the music itself almost becomes an afterthought. Tonight's show aims to raise money for the city's Robin Hood foundation (Hence the hefty price tag).
