'The Bunker Presents Mount Kimbie'
Although their name suggests massive peaks, Mount Kimbie's Dom Maker and Kai Campos really craft music more kin to foothills, creeks, and little alcoves. As this year's stand-out Crooks & Lovers attests, the duo suffuses each corner with all sorts of sonic detail, from prepared piano plinks to chopped-up r&b snippets to mid-afternoon rainstorms. Consider them the Boards of Canada of the dubstep movement, ever-so-slightly out of step. Making their New York premiere at the Bunker, expect them to brighten up those concrete corners. With Peter Van Hoesen.
